NAISHA PATEL
co-CHAIR
Greetings Delegates,

Welcome to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) at NIMUN XV. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your Chair for a committee that operates at the forefront of global law enforcement and transnational cooperation. In this forum, every statement you make and every policy you propose carries the weight of international security, justice, and human lives.
This year, our agenda focuses on Tracking and Dismantling International Assassination Networks, with Emphasis on State-Sponsored and Contract Killings — an issue that blurs the line between political strategy and organized crime. These networks operate in shadows, crossing borders with impunity, exploiting diplomatic loopholes, and using covert methods to silence dissent, destabilize governments, and intimidate communities.
As delegates, your challenge will be to untangle these complex webs of actors — from state intelligence units to private mercenaries — and devise strategies that are legally sound, operationally effective, and globally coordinated. You will be required to confront questions of sovereignty, jurisdiction, human rights, and realpolitik, all while building the trust and cooperation necessary for actionable results.
In INTERPOL, precision and credibility are paramount. Each resolution you draft should be as realistic as it is ambitious, reflecting both the urgency of the threat and the practical constraints of international law enforcement. Debate firmly, but constructively. Build alliances where you can, challenge when you must, and remember that your ultimate goal is not just to win arguments, but to make the world tangibly safer.
I look forward to seeing the strategic insight, investigative rigor, and diplomatic skill you will bring to the table. Together, let us ensure that those who operate in the shadows are brought into the light.

To justice without borders,
Raghav Sharma
